KELLY TONKIN is Penrich's Chief Investment Officer and leads the investment team from the base in London. He is authorised as an Investment Manager by the Financial Services Authority and makes decisions directly influencing the
Penrich Global Macro Fund.
Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in fund management and economic analysis. He has been involved in all aspects of investment management and has provided investment advice to many of the largest fund managers in the world. He has invested funds in all of the major financial markets around the globe. Since beginning his career, he has worked at the New Zealand Treasury, Bankers Trust New Zealand and Lehman Brothers.
Prior to helping establish the Penrich Capital group in 2004, Kelly invested proprietory funds which entailed economic analysis of the major developed countries of the globe and the establishment of risk analysis procedures. This work formed the background for Penrich's investment strategy and risk management.
CHRIS MURPHY is a senior member of the investment team with a particular emphasis on the development and monitoring of risk analysis procedures.
He has been working in the finance industry for more than 20 years with extensive experience in risk analysis and risk management. He has worked with all of the major asset classes across the major markets of the world. Chris is a qualified actuary and has worked in North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand as an actuary and investment analyst with previous roles at Tower Insurance, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and ING Group. He has been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries Australia since 1998.
Prior to the establishment of the Penrich Group in 2004, Chris was involved in the investment of funds in conjunction with Kelly Tonkin and contributed to the establishment of risk analysis procedures.
SANDRA HORSFIELD is a member of the investment team who joined Penrich in 2011.
She is authorised as an Investment Manager by the Financial Services Authority
and makes decisions directly influencing the Penrich Global Macro Fund.
Sandra began working in the finance industry in the late 1990s and has over 10 years of experience of working as a financial markets economist. She has worked in the City of London providing investment advice to many of the largest fund managers in the world and serving as invited expert on media such as CNN, CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Previous employers include Lehman Brothers and Barclays Wealth.
A German national, Sandra received both her BSc and her MSc degrees in Economics from the London School of Economics in the UK.
KELLY STANSFIELD is
the Operations Officer for Penrich Capital.
Kelly joined Penrich Capital in 2011. She is based in Christchurch, New Zealand and oversees the middle and back office functions for the management of the Penrich Global Macro fund.
She also co-ordinates all of the operational and regulatory requirements of the Penrich group across the various jurisdications
in which the company operates.
Kelly has over 10 years of experience in finance and operations and has worked
in Europe and Australasia. Previous employers include Mizuho International and
Credit Suisse.
HAMISH FRASER
is based in London, United Kingdom and provides consultancy services to
Penrich.
Hamish has worked as a consulting economist since 1990 and has been based in North America, Europe and Australasia.He has provided economic and public policy advice to more than 50 foreign governments, regulators, investment banks, US law firms, international agencies and major international power companies. He has worked in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, , Russia, Slovakia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and has worked extensively across the United States of America. His previous employers include National Economic Research Associates Inc in New York and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett Inc in Boston.
Hamish received a postgraduate degree in Operations Research from the
University of Canterbury, New Zealand
NICHOLAS ELMS is a director of Penrich Capital UK Limited in London. In addition to his role as a director, Nick also works with Penrich Capital UK as the compliance officer.
He is authorised as an Investment Manager by the Financial Services Authority.
Nicholas has 20 years of experiance as a consulting economist based in Europe and Australasia. He has provided advice to customers in many jurisdictions throughout the world, advising on a variety of issues including mergers and acquisitions, economic regulation and trading and operations. Nicholas has worked for the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, Ernst and Young, National Economic Research Associates UK, Enron Europe and Frontier Economics Ltd.
